Ocean State Cardiovascular & Vein Center opened its doors in January of 2013. Since that time, the Center has been a leader in cardiovascular care in northern RI. Both Dr. Saber and Dr. Elgabry believe strongly in meeting the needs of their patients and have designed their practice accordingly. With affiliations at 6 local hospitals and the creation of 5 satellite offices, they bring the highest level of cardiac care to their patients, in surroundings that are comfortable for the patient.

EXPERT MEDICAL STAFF

Walid Saber – MD, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI

Dr. Saber, Chief of Cardiology at Landmark Medical Center, specializes in cardiovascular and interventional cardiovascular medicine, as well as venous disease management. A diplomat of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic medicine, Dr. Saber provides advanced treatment for his patients suffering with pain from varicose veins. He was the first physician in the state of Rhode Island to treat varicose veins with non-surgical, painless, FDA-approved Varithena, an injectable medicine-based sclerotherapy. Dr. Saber was also the first physician in the nation, to use the VenaSeal™ closure system treating reflux disease. This system requires no compression stockings. Dr. Saber is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Brown University, Warren Alpert Medical School.

Ibrahim Elgabry – MMD, FACC

Dr. Elgabry is the Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Landmark Medical Center. He has a special interest in cardiovascular disease prevention through advanced lipid management and a closely supervised dietary weight loss program. Dr. Elgabry’s practice offers the latest in cardiac monitoring services available in New England. These services include ICD and pacemaker monitoring, as well as trans-telephonic pacemaker analysis. Additionally, Dr. Elgabry is the Chief Safety Officer for the nuclear cardiology programs offered at Ocean State Cardiovascular & Vein Center. He is also a Clinical instructor at Brown University, Warren Alpert Medical School.

Nancy Stone – Ph. D., RNP
