New Patient Visit

A cardiac condition does not have to limit your life. Most cardiac conditions can be managed effectively with appropriate treatment and follow up with your cardiologist. Diagnostic Study. Our offices provide a number of diagnostic tests or studies which may require special preparation. Our scheduling staff will provide you with all the information you will need to prepare for your test or procedure.

Established Patient Visit

We know that a first visit to a cardiologist can be a stressful time if you are worried about heart disease. Please rest assured that our staff and physicians are very knowledgeable and will do everything needed to put your mind to rest and ensure you and your family members have all the information you need about your health.

Pre-Operative Evaluation

Often before surgery your surgeon will want you to have a pre-operative cardiology clearance. When you make your pre-operative appointment please be sure to let the office know that this is a pre-op clearance visit. The office also will need to know the name of your surgeon, and the date and location of your surgery. This way we can be sure to get the clearance report to the physician and the facility in advance of your scheduled surgery.

Same Day Appointments

If you have an acute or sudden problem, please call our office staff and let them know. Our Triage Nurses will help direct you to the most appropriate care. If an office visit is appropriate, we will make every effort to see you the same day. Please call before coming to the office

Emergencies

Our physicians are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have privileges and practice at Landmark Medical Center, Miriam Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital, Roger Williams Hospital, Milford Hospital.

If you have an emergency and are admitted to one of these hospitals, or after hours, you may contact us for emergencies by calling the main phone number at one of our offices and your call will be transferred to the answering service who will contact the physician on-call.

Prescription refills

Our staff is happy to work with you to ensure that your prescriptions are refilled on time. If you have an upcoming office visit please review your prescriptions and let our staff know if you need any refills. This is the best way to ensure that you do not run out of medication.

Unless you are told otherwise, however, you do not need to schedule an office visit to refill a prescription. Have your pharmacist call the office during regular business hours and ask to speak with our Follow-Up Nurse. Alternatively they may leave a message on our prescription voice mailbox. The pharmacist will receive an approval from the physician to refill the prescription.

Most all of our prescriptions are filled electronically. However, please allow at least 48 hours for refills. Additionally, it is always best to check with your pharmacy to confirm that the prescription has been filled before going to pick it up.
